Janrain provides the User Management Platform for the Social Web that includes Social Login & Sharing, Social Profile Storage and Single Sign-On solutions.

We are guided by the vision that everyone wins when organizations can provide every end user with a personalized and engaging experience.

In 2005, Janrain founder, Larry Drebes, had recently relocated to Portland from the Bay area where he had completed a successful run with an earlier business that was acquired by Yahoo!. Quickly connecting with some of the early proponents of the OpenID protocol, Larry saw a potential solution for the growing challenge of user identity on the internet. Further research led to a business plan and a new company, Janrain, was up and running.

Initially a small effort focused on building a web community for user-centric identity, Janrain has evolved into the most experienced provider of turnkey solutions giving organizations the ability to build deeper, more valuable relationships with their users as they connect their online presence to the social web. In its early days, Janrain developed a consumer facing identity solution and wrote many of the open source OpenID libraries that continue to be used by companies and developers around the world. Today Janrain offers comprehensive user management solutions that have been successfully adopted by leading brands such as Kodak, Sears, Universal Music Group, Meredith Publishing, and National Geographic.
