The Digital Hollywood conference took place last week in Los Angeles. Ralph Marx, our VP of Business Development, was among the attendees.
This exclusive event was geared towards film industry professionals working in the distribution, marketing, and digital content production of the film industry.
Social TV and the increasing importance for TV networks to provide second screen user experiences was one key discussion topic.
USA Network and ABC, both of whom have been very successful using Arktan’s products to provide second screen experiences for their viewers, discussed social TV, and how they are using it to engage the viewers of their shows, and increasing brand loyalty.
One other main discussion topic was the ever-increasing importance of content. With the right content, even small independent studios can now potentially compete with big studios.
Some differing points of views were presented regarding the platforms that will dominate content delivery, whether TVs, tablets, or others. Irrespective of which platforms dominate its clear that real-time social interaction with content will only grow over time.
