The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) has become into one of the world’s most prestigious annual film festivals attended by leading media outlets, journalists, and celebrities.
Global film fans are able to follow the social activities on The Grid Does TIFF destination site, where they can interact with all the real-time social web content and conversation around the festival, including film reviews, celebrity news, tips on Toronto’s hot spots, and much more.
Arktan is again powering the site’s social experiences, following a successful collaboration between Arktan, The Grid, Blackdigital, and Grolsch around last year’s TIFF.
Fans can view curated real-time social web and onsite content posted by dozens of bloggers, and by global film fans themselves.
Fans can start participating in the social conversation by logging into the site with their preferred social login. They can then post their own content and comments, and share them back on Twitter and Facebook, driving new traffic back to the site.
The TIFF’s editorial team is using Arktan SocialStreams’ robust dashboard and APIs to extend to the site the most relevant and highest quality real-time curated streams from blogs and the social web, including Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and rich multimedia content, such as YouTube videos and Instagram photos.
