Relying Party Stats as of July 1, 2009

unique relying party sites july

June was another strong month for OpenID adoption, with 2,722 new websites choosing to accept third party authentication. We began 2009 with just a shade over 30,000 OpenID enabled websites, and six months later, are on track to exceed that total in this year alone. Turn-key solutions like RPX have helped transform the market, making it easy for website operators without an expertise in the protocol to deploy third party authentication from the major identity providers.

For a directory of some sites that are OpenID-enabled, please visit the myOpenID Site Directory, or the OpenID Directory.
