As CEO, Jim leads the company’s vision, strategy and worldwide operations. He is a seasoned entrepreneur with more than 31 years of experience in complex enterprise technology, including 10 years as a startup CEO leading companies from their founding to acquisition. He has built multiple technology businesses in cloud computing, enterprise software, software as a service (SaaS), online and mobile digital media, online and mobile advertising, and semiconductors. Prior to Janrain, Jim was the Vice President and General Manager of Digital Applications at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), where he led the formation of its largest line of commercial business. Jim also led the fastest growing business at CSC, Big Data & Analytics. Before CSC, Jim held executive positions at Infochimps, PARC (a Xerox company) and SIOS Technology. Jim began his career in data and analytics at Teradata. Jim holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from University of California, Santa Barbara, as well as a Master of Business Administration from the University of San Diego.
Larry founded Janrain in 2002 to address the challenge of managing user identity on the Internet. Prior to Janrain, Larry was a co-founder of Silicon Valley startups Desktop.com, a web-based service, and Four11 Corporation. At Four11 Corporation, Larry led the development of its RocketMail product, one of the first Internet-based email systems. Four11 was acquired by Yahoo in 1997; and its RocketMail product became Yahoo! Mail. Earlier in his career, Larry did software development for Raynet, McDonnell Douglas and A.G. Edwards.
Martin joined Janrain in June 2015 and brings over 20 years of finance and operations leadership for high growth companies. Prior to joining Janrain, Martin was General Manager at MotoSport.com and implemented strategic, marketing, and operational changes to increase growth and profitability. Prior to becoming GM, Martin held the CFO role at MotoSport and closed several venture capital funding rounds while tripling revenue. Martin also held finance and operations leadership positions for both public and private organizations, including Digimarc, Ascension Software, CSI Digital, and Spinriot. Martin started his career with Ernst & Young in Silicon Valley and holds both a Bachelor of Science and MACC from Brigham Young University.
As CTO and VP Engineering, Darryl heads the office of the CTO and leads Janrain's Architecture, Software Development & Testing, Cloud Operations and Technical Support groups. Previously VP of Operations at Janrain, Darryl was promoted to CTO in January 2018. With over 20 years of experience, Darryl was previously the VP of IT at Vesta Corporation, responsible for global IT operations across five data centers, corporate information systems and information security. He was also credited for building the software QA and program management teams from the ground up, while creating a modern, risk-tolerant organization focused on software-as-a-service (SaaS). Darryl is a veteran of four startups: Preside, Oresis, Q-Optics/Elematics and Polyserve. Darryl graduated from the Royal Military College of Canada with a Bachelor of Computer Engineering.
Lewis manages Janrain’s legal compliance and privacy functions as the company continues its international expansion. He brings more than 15 years of leadership in a wide range of legal and privacy-related matters for growing technology companies. Lewis also utilizes his diverse background as a litigator in private practice, federal appeals court staff attorney, and teacher. Prior to Janrain, Lewis was General Counsel and Secretary of Fios, Inc. and before that, he was General Counsel of New Edge Networks (now EarthLink Business). Lewis holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Missouri School of Law and a Bachelor’s Degree from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. He is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US).
Keith leads Janrain’s alliance program with the objective to scale Janrain’s industry-leading identity solution through alliance partnerships.
Keith began his career at Accenture where, as a Senior Partner, he founded Accenture’s highly successful partnership with Siebel Systems. Under Keith’s leadership, Accenture’s Siebel practice grew to 1,000 professionals and $400M in annual sales in 6 years. After leaving Accenture, Keith continued to pursue his passion for building high growth technology companies. His record of accomplishments include several successful companies, including DigitalThink, Kintana, Mercury Interactive, Innotas, and MarkLogic. Keith’s roles ranged from EVP-Services/Alliances to Chief Executive Officer. Keith is most recently the CEO of Growth Stage Partners, a strategic consultancy focused on helping high-growth technology companies scale through Professional Services and Strategic Alliances. He also sits on several commercial and non-profit boards
Keith has a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from California Polytechnic State University.
Alan joined Janrain in July 2017 and brings over 20 years of sales leadership experience in software start-ups with a focus on cybersecurity, network infrastructure and collaboration tools. Prior to joining Janrain, Alan was Senior Vice President of Global Sales at PAS, where he was responsible for driving sustained revenue growth and expanding go-to-market channels. Previously he held executive sales roles at Fidelis CyberSecurity, Proofpoint, Critical Path and Mirapoint. Alan began his sales career at MCI. He was born in Peru and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in marketing from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
Martijn Loderus is a seasoned Business Partner who continuously seeks innovative ways to ensure technology drives new insights, and is recognized for his creative thinking, expertise, knowledge and vast industry experience.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the ‘Haagse Hogeschool’ in The Hague, Netherlands, Martijn gained his first taste of the tech industry, finding his wheelhouse in IT sales.
As Martijn’s career blossomed, he worked with both enterprise IT companies and startups alike, continuously pursuing innovative solutions to complex problems. At every step along the way, Martijn pushed forward cutting-edge projects focused around Green IT, the cloud and big data analytics.
Martijn joined the Janrain team as Global Practice Partner in 2017, and quickly made his mark by building new advisory services and spearheading initiatives to drive customer experience and ensure regulatory compliance. In January 2018 he was promoted to VP of Solution Engineering & Services.
As Vice President of Marketing, Bryta Schulz leads Janrain’s global marketing initiatives. Schulz brings 20+ years of experience marketing innovative enterprise, software as a service (SaaS), security and payments solutions. She has held positions at a number of top global technology companies including Xerox, RSA, Symantec and Thales.
Schulz is a senior marketing, product and go-to-market executive with a record of driving product adoption, revenue and shareholder value at both early stage and publicly traded companies.
Prior to Janrain, Schulz was the Senior Vice President of Marketing at Vindicia, where she was a key member of the management team, successfully driving rapid growth of the sales pipeline and spearheading the company’s global expansion. Schulz holds a Master of Arts in Translation from the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Reutlingen.
Mayur is a creative and customer-centric technologist. He joined Janrain in April 2013 and after three years of leading global Customer Success is now the Managing Director of Janrain Europe. Mayur starting his career as a full-stack developer at a 'new media' agency and was later to become Chief Architect, in 2008 he spun out his engineering team into what became an award winning digital agency. Mayur has advised agency clients such as Channel4, BBC, Guardian, United Nations and Nigella Lawson on technology and marketing. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Technology, and a host of award-winning work, having gained a Webby nomination, IVCA, BIMA, Revolution, Peabody and BAFTA.
Carol joined Janrain in March, 2013, bringing over 25 years of HR experience. Carol leads Janrain’s HR, facility and administrative functions. Prior to joining the team, Carol was the Senior Director of HR at Yottamark, a Bay Area based startup that provides traceability and authentication solutions. Carol has spent most of her career in HR Leadership positions supporting technology organizations at Digimarc, Serena Software and ADP.
As Director of Demand Generation, Suzanne leads the team responsible for the strategy and execution of Janrain's worldwide lead-generation programs. She previously built and managed highly effective demand generation marketing teams that drove worldwide revenue growth at AdExchanger, an award-winning media company, and at several international software companies. Her 20-plus-year marketing career began at Intel where she had leadership roles in e-commerce and the Intel Inside program. Suzanne received her B.S. in computer engineering and her MBA from the University of Michigan.
Bill leads Janrain’s Customer Success Manager team, ensuring our clients meet their immediate goals and achieve long-term success through their use of Janrain products and services.
With over 25 years of experience managing client-facing teams that build, service and optimize custom SaaS solutions, Bill understands the key differentiators that influence client success.
Bill received his M.B.A. degree from Hofstra University, and quickly made a name for himself in the professional services industry, building Customer Success teams from the ground up at a number of entrepreneurial companies. During his time working with Weiss Analytics, FlexiSphere and Conversive, among other businesses, Bill delivered a wide variety of impactful solutions, ranging from customer-facing applications to high-availability infrastructure.
Before joining the Janrain team, Bill also served as VP of Reuters Support Center, where he was responsible for supporting all of their financial industry subscription products throughout North America.
Micah is a passionate software engineer and experienced leader who believes that great software is built by great teams with purpose, vision, and direction. Early in his career he worked at DEX as an Operations Manager, then transitioned to Software Engineering at Quixotix and QuickMedical where he was also Web Team Manager.
In 2012 Micah joined Janrain as the company’s Application Development Manager. He was promoted to Director of Engineering in 2015, with responsibility for Platform Architecture.
Micah has a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from ITT Institute - Oxnard.
Kevin is a Digital Transformation Services leader with 15 years SaaS experience. He recently joined Janrain to lead the Advisory Services go-to-market in the EMEA region. In this role, he works with enterprise customers and partners across multiple industry verticals to ensure they realise the full potential value of their investment in Janrain.
Prior to Janrain he was Director of EMEA Services at eSignature and Digital Transaction Management ‘Unicorn’ DocuSign. Joining as part of the team that pioneered eSignature in Europe, he established the EMEA Services function, leading DocuSign’s on-boarding, technical and advisory lines of business along with partner enablement. During his tenure he scaled the EMEA services business in line with DocuSign’s growth to becoming a $3+ billion company, supporting the digital transformations of multiple household-name organisations.
Chris joined Janrain in 2014, bringing over 15 years of experience in operations, IT and technical service management in the technology industry. Chris is passionate about all things related to operational readiness, continuous improvement, uptime, availability, repeatable measurable processes and team development.
As Director of Operations (DevOps) at Janrain, Chris has had the opportunity to work closely with several key Janrain enterprise accounts including Coca-Cola, Everything Everywhere, Channel4, FranceTV, Financial Times, and Philips, among others. Chris also plays a key role in the Janrain compliance and certification efforts, directly interfacing with auditors and helping to ensure the success of the company’s compliance needs.
Prior to joining the Janrain team, Chris worked with Jive, Edmunds and Realtor.com (formerly Move.com).
Manuel has been a Solutions Engineer and Product Manager within the Financial Services, CRM, and Telecommunications industries over the past fifteen years, and has extensive experience selling and deploying web- and telephony-based solutions within large companies like AT&T, Walmart, Banamex, Telcel, and Mondeléz. As a Solutions Engineer with Janrain, Manuel has worked closely with global enterprise customers across the US, Europe, and Asia helping deliver technical and digital strategy to Qantas, Electrolux, the NBA, and Coca-Cola. He received his B.S. from Yale and his Ph.D. from UC Berkeley.
Alex joined Janrain in 2017 with more than 15 years of experience of partnering with enterprise clients to realize their business performance objectives. Alex has previously held leadership positions at Sprint, SheerID & Vesta Corporation. Alex holds a bachelor’s degree from the Kansas State University in Finance and lives in Roxborough Park, Colorado. In his spare time, Alex can be found on his mountain bike or on the ski slopes of Colorado alongside his wife, Karie, son, Nick and daughter, Ashlyn.
Sven Dummer leads product marketing at Janrain, helping companies to build better online experiences for their customers through cloud-based Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM). Previously, Sven worked with Silicon Valley startups as well as Fortune 500 companies, including Yahoo, Wind River (acquired by Intel), SUSE and Microsoft in product development, product marketing and management roles. At Intel, Sven also helped launch (and named) the collaborative Yocto Project, an open-source initiative that enables users to create custom Linux-based systems for IoT devices regardless of the hardware architecture. Sven is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
With over a decade of experience in product management, Tim has spent his entire career helping companies gain value from their data. Tim previously ran product and marketing for Bitfusion, an artificial intelligence (AI) software company, led product for Rackspace’s Hadoop and NoSQL as a Service, and managed global offerings for CSC (now known as DXC) Big Data & Analytics business unit. Prior to that he was VP of Product at Infochimps, an enterprise big data cloud services company, acquired by CSC in 2013. Tim received his B.S. from Case Western Reserve University, and writes and speaks on entrepreneurship, big data, and AI.
Throughout his career in the IT industry, Laurent has helped customers to understand better the various IT challenges and a guided them during the emergence of cloud computing so they can take advantage of its benefits to boost their business. Laurent started the cloud revolution while at Google helping customers switch to a cloud-based solution for collaboration and messaging. At Amazon Web Services Laurent assisted clients and partners of all sizes within the EMEA region, helping them to understand better and implement Big Data solutions tailored to their needs. At DXC Laurent helped lead the digital transformation of enterprise customers.
As Director of Professional Services at Janrain, Jennifer leads a team of expert implementation consultants who ensure the successful deployment and delivery of customer engagements. Prior to Janrain, she served in various leadership roles in project management, technical implementation, solution design and engineering at organizations including Vesta Corporation, Xerox and Lockheed Martin. Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Suffolk University and her Master of Science in Organizational Leadership & Ethics from St. Edward's University.
Russell brings over 30 years of international sales and management experience in enterprise solutions that today includes social media and mobile. His vertical market experience is extensive throughout the UK and Europe with specific experience in retail, finance, manufacturing, telco and European channels.
As employee number one in Europe at Janrain, Russell has aided the onboarding of global brands into the Janrain community including Philips, Boehringer Ingelheim, Merck Serono, Nestle, EE and Channel 4. He was the single point of contact in the Shell Global purchase process and remains the executive responsible for the commercial relationship.
Russell has extensive experience in enterprise-enabling technology and infrastructure. In the applications arena, he is seen as an industry commentator on the CRM market where his early views on the integration of all forms of e-commerce with the traditional world of bricks and mortar are now widely accepted dogma. This has led Russell to acquire a clear understanding of business information systems, and how and why they might be used and integrated with existing systems like ERP, logistics, CRM, warehousing, marketing, mobile and web-based SaaS systems. His wide industry experience coupled with his extensive market knowledge means that clients and prospects alike are keen to engage him in dialogue that ultimately adds value to their stakeholders.
Cyndi is a passionate customer advocate with a deep understanding of the role of identity management in digital transformation. Since joining Janrain in 2011, she has developed and nurtured successful business relationships with key global accounts including McDonald’s, AstraZeneca, AMC Networks and Coca-Cola. Her 20-year track record of success in technology sales, account management and business development includes work with several start-ups and a key role in the early growth of Monster from 1996 to 2009. Cyndi came to the business world from the University of Maryland where she studied Information Systems Management.
As Director of Engineering at Janrain, David is responsible for software development. David, a long time advocate of Agile Methodologies and Processes, brings over 20 years experience in developing software with a proven track record in: Embedded Platforms, Mobile, Desktops, Design and Architecture, Custom Data Structures, UI, Protocols, Security, Cloud Computing, and SaaS. Prior to joining Janrain, in October of 2013, David spent many years in technical leadership positions at TrieScape LLC, Tactel US Inc., Qualcomm Inc., and Now Software Inc.
As Controller, Chrissy is responsible for Janrain’s accounting operations. After earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting from Portland State University, she spent the first 10 years of her career in the manufacturing industry, working for Lacrosse Footwear, Inc. There, she progressed through several accounting roles, taking on more responsibly, overseeing accounting teams and earning numerous accolades along the way.
In 2012, Chrissy transitioned from the manufacturing space to the software industry, taking on a position at Tripwire. Three years later, she brought her accounting skills to Janrain, and has never looked back.
A crucial member of the Janrain team, Chrissy was promoted to Controller in 2017.
Brandt joined Janrain in 2017 with many years of experience selling enterprise software. He previously held positions at Zix Corporation (secure email solutions), Cloudera (through the Gazzang acquisition), Ping Identity (IAM solutions) and IBM (through the BigFix acquisition). Brandt has a proven track record of hunting and signing enterprise customers with complex requirements. Brandt has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Denver’s Metropolitan State University.
Lisa Nicholson is the Janrain Information Security Manager responsible for cyber security as well as governance, risk, and compliance (GRC). She joined the leading Customer Identity and Access Management company in 2014 leveraging her database, network, quality assurance, testing, project management and security experience to return to the information security fold. Most recently, she worked as a QA manager, SQL developer and SQL DBA for various Portland, OR startups.
Lisa began her career as an Aerospace Engineering Officer in the Canadian Air Force. In addition to fulfilling traditional aerospace engineering officer responsibilities such as running aircraft maintenance organizations, Lisa’s military roles included leading the base defense force providing aid for search and rescue, riot control and security for visiting heads of state. She transitioned from physical security to information security when she was appointed to run operations for top secret US/Canadian networks and classified video circuits connecting the Pentagon with Canada’s National Defence Headquarters. She was also the cryptographic custodian for NATO flight codes.
Lisa graduated top of her class in Engineering Management (Industrial Engineering) from the Royal Military College of Canada and went on to do post graduate studies in Aerospace Engineering and Computer Science.
With a strong engineering background, expertise in professional services and a track record of success in partner enablement, Rick is well-equipped to head Janrain's expanding network of partnerships and alliances. At Janrain, Rick was a Sr. Sales Engineer and Director of Professional Services before taking on the role of Director of Alliances & Partner Enablement. Previously he built Jive Software's training and partner enablement from the ground up prior to their IPO and also built MarketLive's partner enablement program prior to their acquisition. Over the past 15 years he has held numerous software engineering and consulting roles, and taught Java Web Programming at Portland Community College for 4 years as an Adjunct Professor. Rick has a bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from Portland State University. He is excited to be working with the leader in the customer identity and access management space.
Eric Schreiner brings over 18 years experience designing and implementing business solutions with the last 10 years focused on enterprise SaaS applications. His expertise blends system design and integration experience with his ability to align technology delivery to business processes, workflows and results. At Janrain, Eric leads our Product Management team, responsible for the cloud-native, multi-tenant Identity platform that forms Janrain’s core CIAM solution. Prior to Janrain, he worked with industry leaders in the aerospace, engineering and manufacturing industries to apply SaaS solutions to their hazardous chemical data and inventory management practices. Eric has B.A in Computer Science from the University of Oregon.
Will Schwartz is a dynamic sales leader and seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience partnering with enterprise brands. The foundation of Will’s success is a consultative approach based on gaining a deep understanding of each customer’s unique business goals, use cases and challenges.
Working closely with project stakeholders across multiple business units to drive real results and win-win outcomes, Will enjoys mentoring and managing junior team members and working with the executive team to create innovative sales collateral, training, strategy and tactics. A world traveler, writer and musician, Will holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago in religion and philosophy and lives in sunny Portland, Oregon, with his wife Makiko, son Izak and daughter Sakura. In his spare time, Will hikes and bikes the Great Northwest and coaches youth basketball.
Todd joined Janrain in February 2017, bringing 10 years of Customer Operations Management experience from small, medium and large enterprise and consumer companies. Prior to joining Janrain, Todd was an Operations Manager in Google's Consumer Operations Division, overseeing product support strategy for Google's English-language consumer forums. Todd has twice won the Association of Support Professionals "Best Web Support Sites" award. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in International Studies from Willamette University, a Certificate in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Juris Doctorate from Golden Gate University School of Law. He is currently completing the Advanced Project Management Certification at Stanford University.
