TurnTo Networks and Janrain today announced a partnership enabling online stores to extend social sign-on with the Janrain User Management Platform (JUMP) to authenticate shoppers asking and answering product-related questions via TurnTo’s Social Q&A Platform. The integration of the two systems delivers added benefits from each. By enabling shoppers to authenticate through existing identities from providers such as Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc. via Janrain technology when submitting product questions, stores collect social profile data on more shoppers, especially pre-purchase when it’s most valuable. At the same time, social sign-on streamlines authentication, resulting in greater engagement and user-generated content production through TurnTo.
