Portland, Or, Oct 24, 2012 – Janrain, the leading provider of User Management solutions for the social web, today announced a number of new platform extensions and integrations designed to enable clients to more easily collect, store and leverage rich social profile data of end users within their sales and marketing activities. In addition, Janrain also launched a new Extensions Marketplace in support of the recently announced Fusion Partner Program.
The Janrain User Management Platform (JUMP) enables organizations to easily acquire new online consumers through social login and the industry’s highest performing software as a service registration system. It also facilitates the permission-based collection, storage and usage of rich social profile data, such as birthdate, location, marital status, interests and friends. This data can then be used to create more personalized and relevant experiences for those users. These experiences are driven by third party applications that have integrations with JUMP.
“Janrain is singularly focused on delivering the premier User Management Platform in the market,” said Larry Drebes, Founder and CEO of Janrain. “As such, we recognize the value in supporting a wide partner ecosystem to support technology choices and engagement strategies of our clients. These new integrations have been built as a direct result of customer requests, and we look forward to announcing even more in the future.”
“Lotame empowers innovative publishers, agencies and brands to unlock the full value of their audience data with our unifying data management platform,” said Andy Monfried, Lotame CEO. “With the integration into JUMP, our clients will now be able to leverage the rich demographic and psychographic data collected by Janrain and convert this data into insights and analytics to drive more informed decisions and increased ROI of their assets.”
Janrain also has released support for additional identity providers, expanding the choice for consumers over which social identity to be used during login or registration. These providers include VKontakte, Europe’s largest social network, Disqus, a global commenting system and SAML based providers, which addresses a key need for many of our large B2B customers.
The Extensions Marketplace will serve a number of functions; Enabling Janrain customers to easily discover existing integrations, providing a vehicle for developers and system integrations to submit new integrations for certification, and a place where integrations can be verified as Backplane Protocol enabled. (The Backplane Protocol is an open standard that enables applications to securely share user data with other applications. More information can be found at www.backplanex.com)
