Janrain Announces Newest Version of Drupal Module Package

Version 3.0 Provides Drupal Websites with Actionable Data and Insights via the Janrain Plugin

PORTLAND, OR – Tuesday, May 12, 2015 – Janrain, the leading provider of Customer Identity Management solutions, today announces its validated integration with Drupal, the open-source software platform that lets sites organize, manage and publish their content, through the launch of version 3.0 of the Janrain Drupal Module package.

The Janrain Drupal Module package version 3.0 seamlessly integrates all elements of Janrain Social Login and Registration solutions into the Drupal CMS. The package leverages common Drupal concepts and tools to make installation and management of Janrain interfaces simple for anyone who works with Drupal. Drupal sites can use Janrain for registration and social login, map customer profile data to Drupal fields and share Drupal content with an individual’s friends on their social networks. Additionally, single sign-on functionality and universal customer identity allow users to move between Drupal websites without the user creating a new account or re-authenticating. The result is faster registration, access to richer customer profile information, and increased site traffic from the viral promotion of content. The Janrain Drupal Module package also features an Information Tab, which provides the site installer and builder access to Janrain configuration information to assist with troubleshooting.

Janrain user interface elements can be configured within the site using Drupal Blocks. The module also leverages Drupal Rules to facilitate data mapping and initiate actions based on Janrain profile update events. This allows marketers to pass registration and login data into Drupal so that onsite personalization and content customization can be delivered through Drupal Rules.

Janrain developed its version 3.0 of this plugin from the ground up in collaboration with Acquia, a digital business company that provides a unified platform for content, community and commerce. Janrain’s Drupal package is validated to integrate with Acquia Lift, a product for Drupal website personalization. Janrain and Acquia are strategic partners and have been helping digital marketers provide compelling and engaging experiences for their site visitors since 2012.

Version 3.0 of the package fully supports integrations with Janrain’s Social Login and Registration solutions through six modules:

  • Janrain Core: Core Janrain services module
  • Janrain Admin UI: Module enabling the Janrain administrative UI to set up Drupal site configuration
  • Janrain Data: Module enabling the mapping of customer profile data from Janrain to Drupal using Drupal Rules
  • Janrain Example: Simple reference implementation of the Janrain integration, optionally installs basic Janrain Social Login and/or Registration UI components on the Drupal site
  • Janrain Social Sharing: Module enabling Janrain Social Sharing to be integrated in a Drupal site, supports Janrain Social Sharing v3.0
  • Janrain User Interface: Module enabling the management of Janrain user interface for placement within the Drupal site

“We are excited to see Drupal’s continued adoption and expansion into enterprise cloud architecture, as we see a number of Janrain customers looking to make site management more consistent,” said Larry Drebes, founder and CEO of Janrain. “Now in a single module, the new Janrain v3.0 Drupal plugin provides a seamless registration and social login experience complete with richer customer data.”
