PORTLAND, OR (December 16, 2016) – Janrain®, the leading company that pioneered the Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) category, today announced it has added strategic business development leader Jared Worley to its executive team. Assembled by CEO Jim Kaskade and Founder/CTO Larry Drebes, the team is preparing for the identity market and company’s next growth phase.
Janrain, a founding member of the OpenID initiative, is widely credited for laying the foundation for digital identities and social login, which provide customers with secure and convenient access to their online accounts, while giving brands the deep customer insights they need to deliver unified and personalized interactions across all devices, websites and applications. As Gartner predicts the Identity and Access Management market to hit $18.30 billion by 2019, the company is preparing for a tremendous growth phase fueled by the advancements being made in cloud computing, analytics, the the Internet of Things (IoT) and more.
“It is now a competitive mandate for organizations to build their marketing strategies around secure digital identities–a market we created and one we will continue to evolve through innovation and collaboration,” said Kaskade. “Jared is proven in his ability to create value through strategic alliances in the identity market, and I’m thrilled to have him aboard at a time of such great promise for the industry and Janrain.”
As Vice President of Alliances at Janrain, Worley will be responsible for strategy and expansion of the global partner ecosystem. For the past 10 years, he has been driving growth and creating value for global organizations through alliances. Prior to Janrain, Worley championed and managed international business development at Gigya before going on to develop and lead strategic alliances. He also served as Chief Commercial Officer for Smartify, Inc. and is a long-time entrepreneur and active advisor to start-ups and the venture capital industry.
“As someone who’s been involved with the digital identity market from its infancy, I was excited to join Janrain at the nexus of rapid enterprise adoption, identity innovations and the opportunity to grow the industry through alliances,” said Worley. “But with growth comes responsibility. Janrain is like dessert for marketers while providing a full serving of vegetables to IT. Without safety, security and compliance, improving customer experience through digital identity innovation will be squelched by customer distrust and business risk.”
